Have you been wondering where to buy German Easter Chocolate? This special imported chocolate is not just for kids! Although, of course, the kids in your world will be delighted if the Osterhase brings them a basket or Paper Mache Egg filled with wonderful chocolate treats. I am pretty certain that adults will be quite happy to get some Truffel Eggs, Marzipan Eggs, Merci eggs, and Chocolate covered Krokant Eggs!
In our house, I love to use Chocolate Bunnies as part of the Easter centerpiece. They go in a basket with some colored eggs, and it looks nice. I also set a special Chocolate Egg on each place setting, this way everyone has something sweet to finish off their meal. And just to make sure everyone really gets enough chocolate… we scatter small wrapped chocolates around the table (sort of like confetti). My cousin’s wife always did this for the holiday table (he has a HUGE sweet tooth, and she knows how to keep him happy!) and I’ve adopted it for my home. Just be careful when putting hot dishes on the table! These little chocolates melt fast!

Kinder Chocolate Eggs Toys Inside
Kinder Eggs… the ones that are a chocolate shell surrounding a yellow capsule with a toy are still forbidden in the USA. HOWEVER, as far as I understand the law, you can purchase Kinder JOY Eggs, since the chocolate and the toy are housed in separate sides of the packaging.
I haven’f found a good source of Kinder Joy eggs… although you may check with German Deli
NOTE- The chocolate is different than the Surprise Eggs. These JOY eggs have creamy chocolate stuff and wafer balls in them, that is eaten with a little included spoon thing. The toy is in half of the egg, and the creamy chocolate stuff is in the other half. DON’T expect this to be like Surprise Eggs.
