Use fresh onion, dehydrated onion, or no onion at all...depending on your preference.

Ingredients

  • 1 large Salad Cucumber
  • 3 Tablespoons Oil I use Safflower
  • 2 Tablespoons White Wine Vinegar
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • ½ Teaspoon Pepper
  • Either 4 Tablespoons Dried Onion
  • OR
  • ½ medium Onion Diced
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped Dill

Instructions

  • Peel and thinly slice the Cucumber. Place in mixing bowl or serving bowl
  • In a small bowl, combine the oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Whisk together completely (so the salt dissolves… you will feel it).
  • Add the onion… either dried or fresh… to the cucumber if you like it.
  • Add the Dill to the cucumber.
  • Toss the cucumbers with the dressing and serve

Notes

If you use an English Cucumber, you can skip the peeling step.
Traditionally cucumbers in the salad get thinly sliced. HOWEVER, when I want it to keep for a little longer, I slice them a little thicker.
