When I was a child, I went to German School every Saturday for 3 hours here in the US. While it was sometimes torture (who wants to go to school on Saturday!?!), in the end, it was well worth the effort, and I appreciate the extra miles my mother put on the car to get me there. This is the time of year I get asked where to find a German Language School in America. Times have changed, and there are a lot more Saturday German Schools… but now there are also schools where German is taught full-time! Another school to list in Illinois is St. Andrews Lutheran School in Park Ridge, Illinois (Chicago area). The school requires kids to take German in 6th, 7th and 8th Grade. Comprehensive program. Excellent results.

I noticed your link for Waddell Language Academy in Charlotte, NC doesn’t work any longer. The former school was moved further south, and a sister school was opened in the northern part of the county to cover a larger geographic area. The new schools are South Academy of International Languages (S.A.I.L) in Charlotte, NC and North Academy of World Languages (NAWL) in Huntersville, NC.
Great list! Another addition is Benjamin Franklin Elementary in Glendale, CA. They are a public school which offers K-6 in German. Our daughter is part of the FLAG program and loves it.
